Vertigo
Radical intervention
Vertigo is a luminaire that challenges the perception of flat material. A finalist in the 2012 Wanted Design Competion in New York. Vertigo embraces digital fabrication techniques in a innovative way by allowing the material to be a protagonist of the design. The parametric spines were manually heat-bended to reach its final shape. In combination with laser cutting fabrication processes this technique provided a holistic approach to the design by embracing craftsmanship and uncertainty with precise digital procedures.
